In the Metal Extraction Processing unit, we deliver sustainable growth from our position as the technology leader in hydrometallurgical separations for copper and cobalt/nickel. Help our customers achieve the highest performance from their operations through the industry's best technical service and application support. Pursue new hydromet applications where we can leverage our technology platforms, modeling capabilities, application expertise and customer relationships.

Reporting into the Mexican Sales Manager, the person in this role will have a leading role in the technical support to achieve the business growth objectives for Mexico

  • The candidate's primary objective is to provide technical support to grow and develop the MEP sales results in Mexico
  • Actively participate in the construction and implementation of the sales account strategy
  • Develop new accounts and establish a sustainable relationship with the customer by ensuring multi-level contacts.
  • Complete and execute plans for the explotation of sales opportunities in coordination with the regional and global MEP sales team.
  • Drive New Product Introduction commercialization.
  • Accountable for business planning including trial and commercial proposals, and technical reports
  • Actively collect market intelligence and support the sales and marketing team in establishing the sales strategy in anticipation of market changes and/or evolutions.
  • Establish and maintain excellent work relationships with the technical services support team
  • Apply and safeguard the application of [Company] safety regulations in all circumstances.
  • Ensure compliance to internal reporting requirement including but not limited to call report / service report / call out report / monthly highlight / trial proposal / trial report ... 
  • Comply to [Company] policies such as code of conduct, anti-bribery, anti-trust, business travel expense guidelines, …

A successful candidate will:
  • Possess a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering, metallurgy or chemistry.
  • At least 5 years experience in the MEP industry.
  • A good understanding of upstream and downstream unit operations is an added value or preferred .

  • Creative and analytical thinking are necessary in order to resolve problems that occur in the day to day activities.

  • Demonstrate good technical and commercial sense with a high focus on value selling.
  • Desire to build excellent customer relationships while promoting [Company] products to the benefit of the client.
  • Demonstrate excellent project planning skills related to planning and execution of laboratory work and product trials.
  • Expert competency in MS Excel, Word and Power point and/or Google chrome identical programs.
  • Possess excellent writing skills in support of information exchanges with customers and internal [Company].
  • Problem solver by nature, acting as first point of contact for the customer in case of product questions or requests for support.

  • Communicate written and spoken in English
  • Be a strong team player with focus on compliance to company policies
  • Be comfortable with working remotely
  • Willing to travel or be on customer site at least 60% of his time.
