(cen) Regional Accounting Technology Manager Sca&c

We are looking for a talented professional to staff the position Regional Accounting Technology Manager SCA&C.

Main Responsabilities:
  • Role 1: Assure compliance of CEMEX SCA&C with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal policies. Management of accounting matters with external auditors, appraisers, actuaries and internal parties such as planning, finance, procurement, etc. Accounting support for CX SCA&C BSOs for compliance in the implementation of complex structures and transactions (M&A, divestitures, reorganizations, among others).
  • Role 2: Responsible for the supervision of CLH financial consolidation team. Responsible of CLH’s financial and operative information and the analysis of its operations required by different stock exchange commissions on annual and quarterly basis, as well as CLH’s Board of Directors, Audit Commission and Top Management. Responsible for the controls compliance according to regulatory requirements. Coordinate CLH subsidiaries in the region to comply with these responsibilities.

Challenges of the position:
  • Certify the compliance and lead the implementation of new IFRS in the Region
  • Coordination and technical support in the reconciliation of local IFRS to CEMEX IFRS
  • Support to BSOs regarding external audits by KPMG and others experts
  • Review and analysis of contracts, drafts or project papers in order to find the best solution for CEMEX M&A, divestitures and other complex transactions in the Region
  • Collaboration and sharing of best practices with Central Accounting Technology in the design, implementation and maintenance of accounting, administrative and general purposes policies
  • Supervision of CLH’s consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Preparation of CLH financial reporting presentations to Audit Commission Meetings
  • Supervision of compliance with reporting to CLH’s external audiences
  • Collaboration with CLH’s Investor Relations area for quarterly and annual reports

Managerial skills:
  • Knowledge of IFRS A
  • Knowledge of periodical reporting to audiences A
  • Confidence to deal with top management A
  • Confidence to deal with Board of Directors members A
  • Experience supervising personnel B
  • High analytical level and attention to details A
  • Preparation and analysis of financial statements, disclosures and footnotes B
  • Operational knowledge with financial consolidation tools B
