The Delta-1 property consists of 5 mineral concessions totalling 368 hectares which are located in the municipality of Uruachic and the Mining District of Ocampo in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The Delta-1 property has a short history of exploration. Local prospectors are reported to have found gold, during recent times, in arroyos draining the property. Evidence of relatively recent trenching in areas of abundant quartz veining can be found on the property.
A small adit was driven into a zone of fracturing and quartz veining on the property within the last 20 years. Gold is reported to have been recovered from rock extracted from the underground workings. Native gold can be found in small stockpiles beside the adit. The ''ore'' mined from the adit was crushed in a small arrastra below the adit and gold and silver were recovered by amalgamation followed by retort. The total tonnage mined from the adit would be in the order of 1,000 tonnes or less.
The northern 2f3 of the Delta-1 property is underlain by lithic ignimbrites which are rhyolite to dacite in composition. The southern portion of the property is underlain by andesites and andesitic agglomerates which are unconformably overlain by the upper rhyolitic package. A small area of limestone overlying sandstone outcrops along a ridge in the southwestern part of the La Perie concession in the northeast corner of the property. Both the limestone and sandstone are enveloped in rhyolite.
In the central part of the Delta-1 property the rhyolites are silicified with zones of strong argillic and epidote alteration. Strongly to intensely argillized and fractured andesites have been observed in drill core beneath the altered rhyolites.
The altered rhyolites are cut by numerous fractures which contain veinlets of quartz and epidote. Hematite is often found along the selvedges of the fractures.
